Season 3 has been announced and is due to release in late fall/winter.

Obviously, things are going to be different with having lost an amazingly talented soul and Creator of RWBY–it’s damn good dedication and love from his friends and coworkers that they’re continuing his work. Please, be aware and thankful of that. RWBY was Monty’s baby and they want to keep telling the story as that’s what he would have wanted.

It might not be the RWBY Volume 3 that he had envisioned for us–I know he had a hand in many things and wrote down tons of ideas–, so please just be nice to RoosterTeeth if you don’t like how things are going. It’s disrespectful and rude when they’re trying so hard to do what Monty would have wanted and it mustn’t be easy for them. We could have easily never gotten a third season and the story ended with so many loose ends.

I guess what I’m trying to say is just to please, please respect their decisions in whatever happens in RWBY Volume 3. You know they have Monty’s best interests at heart, and are trying to do what he would have wished by resuming production. This is as hard for them as it is for the Fandom. I feel like most everyone is angry by who is taking over after Monty, but they also would have been angry if RWBY was never touched again after his death. Please be respectful however things turn out–it would make Monty very sad if everyone starts fighting over whatever happens.
